Insights from Steve
Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see...

Sorry Google Apps Users. No Google+ For You!
Ah Google+! The new kid on the block. Everyone is talking about it. Many people are switching from facebook to embrace it. Personally, I don’t like facebook. Never had, never will. So I saw big potential in google+.   But, Google marketing strategists are making a BIG mistake! Obviously, they have not read The Tipping Point from Malcolm Gladwell and are not aware of the concept of...

5 Reasons Why I Am An Early Riser
“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise” – Benjamin Franklin When I tell people that I get up at 4:30 AM in the morning, the “normal” reaction I usually get from people is that they look at me like a “weirdo”. That does not bother me anymore, since about 10% of the overall population “suffers” from this. I always...

New Book Underway...
Yup, I’m writing a book. The working title is Untangled, but could change in the future. I give myself 18 month to complete the project and find an editor. So why not wait until the project is done before talking about it? Well, the first reason is to be publicly accountable for the project and the second is that there are still some things I want to try out before writing about them....

iTap for iPad Review
iTap is a virtual keyboard with mouse app on the iPad that you can use as a replacement for your PC or Mac. When I saw iTap in the App Store, I immediately downloaded it. I wanted to see If I could be more productive with a virtual keyboard and a track pad. I wanted to try it for an entire week, but I was forced to stop using it after a couple of hours… Installation First, you need to...

Cloud Computing & Digital Assets
Last Friday somebody tried to steal my iPhone in the subway. That was a good thing in a way, since this is what inspired the idea for this post. My main computer nowadays is my iPhone. This phone is not valuable in itself. It is just a stupid piece of hardware. It becomes valuable when you connect it to the internet. It is the gateway to all my information which is stored online. I use a...

iPhone 365: One year through the lens of a phone.
On Feb. 17th 2010, I decided to start a 365 photo project using the iPhone. I was inspired by a friend, who had just completed one using film cameras. Using the iPhone for this project was a way to make sure that I always have a camera with me as I always carry my iPhone with me. Also I wanted to explore the photographic capabilities of my favorite toy. I finished successfully on Feb. 16th 2011....

One month without paper... (or so I thought)
I’m a techo-junkie and I love gadgets. The last thing I put my hands on was the Pogo Sketch stylus. I decided to go paper free for a month in the hope of ditching paper for good… but it did not really happened as I expected… Here is my story. First, let’s begin with a quick analysis of my relationship with paper. I use paper everyday, but not that much. A typical day for...

iPad Trick: Save PDF Files for Offline Viewing
There is a Save Image feature in Safari for iPad, but there is no Save As PDF. What a bummer! Nonetheless, you can save PDF files for offline viewing using Good Reader for iPad. Here is how: 1. Copy the URL in Safari.  2. Open Good Reader and locate the Enter URL button.  3. Paste the URL and press OK.  Voilà, your PDF file is ready for offline viewing. :)

How the dog got kicked
The following story makes me smile every time I recall it. I don’t remember the exact source of this story, but it is similar to the story of a rude man with the buddha. Here is how it goes: One day, the boss of a company summons an employee at his office and gets angry and yells at him because of the last quarter results. The employee wonders why the boss got mad at him at starts getting...

Celebrating One Year of GTD (what did it change...
This is without fanfare that have celebrated one year of implementing David Allen’s Getting Things Done. This post is about what changed for me one year after. I won’t go into what is GTD as there is plethora of resources available on the internet. So without further due here it is. It was in March 2009 that I picked up the book and started reading it. I had no idea where it would...

A (Canadian) look at the Kindle 2
I decided to spoil myself on last christmas with the Kindle 2. I have been having an eye on it for a while now and Amazon made it available in last november here in Canada.
